Annual flagships

Werks Reunion Amelia Island

First weekend of March · Amelia Island, Florida The Amelia Island week is the spring opening of the marque-event year. The Werks Reunion lawn is the air-cooled side of the weekend, run by Porsche Club of America. Smaller and quieter than Monterey. Worth the trip if you have a long-hood or G body to show.

Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance

First weekend of March · Amelia Island, Florida The judged concours run alongside Werks Reunion. Open to all marques. Often the warm up for the rest of the year.

Air|Water

March or April · Los Angeles, California Outdoor air-cooled gathering organized by Luftgekühlt, hosted on a one day cars and coffee scale that turned into something bigger. A few thousand cars, no fee to attend, the dress code is what you would wear to a Sunday drive.

Werks Reunion Monterey

Third Friday of August · Monterey, California The single biggest air-cooled gathering on the West Coast. Part of Monterey Car Week. Held at Corral De Tierra Country Club. Hundreds of air-cooled chassis on a tight lawn for one morning. Show up early.

Monterey Car Week

Third week of August · Monterey peninsula, California The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is the marquee, The Quail is the formal Friday, the Werks Reunion is the air-cooled morning, and the RM Sotheby’s auction runs all week. If you want to see every chassis that matters in person, this is the week.

The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering

Friday of Monterey Car Week · Carmel Valley, California $1,250 ticket, dress code enforced. The most exclusive single-day gathering of the year. You will see chassis you will not see anywhere else.

Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance

Third Sunday of August · Pebble Beach, California The judged concours that ends Monterey Car Week. Less about the air-cooled chassis (the field skews pre-war and exotic Italian) but worth the lawn pass once.

Rennsport Reunion

Roughly every three years · WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, California Porsche’s own factory-organized vintage racing event. The single most concentrated air-cooled and racing-chassis gathering in the world. The next edition is the one to plan a year ahead for. The previous edition (Rennsport VII) was September 2023.

Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival & Concours

Late October · Hilton Head, South Carolina A quieter Southeast concours weekend. Less crowded than the spring or late-summer flagships, but with serious chassis.

Audrain Concours

Early October · Newport, Rhode Island The newest of the East Coast concours, growing fast. Strong air-cooled showing the last two years.

Vintage racing and track

Goodwood Revival

September · West Sussex, England The vintage racing event of the year if you have a passport. Period-correct attire is enforced (no smartphones, no modern logos). Pre-1966 racing chassis only. Pricey to attend, cheaper to watch the livestream.

Goodwood Festival of Speed

July · West Sussex, England The Revival’s louder, more eclectic cousin. Modern and vintage chassis run the hill climb. Less dress code, more horsepower.

Mitty

April · Road Atlanta, Georgia Historic Sportscar Racing’s flagship vintage weekend. Mixed marque vintage racing on a real track.

Monterey Motorsports Reunion

Third weekend of August · Laguna Seca, California Vintage racing weekend during Monterey Car Week. The chassis that get fielded here are the chassis that would have raced at Le Mans and Daytona in period.

HSR Classic 24 at Daytona

November · Daytona International Speedway, Florida A 24 hour vintage race on the Daytona road course. Less attended than the spring concours season but worth it for the night running.

Smaller and regional

Cars and Coffee

Saturday or Sunday mornings · Everywhere The default. The Petersen Automotive Museum Breakfast Club in Los Angeles is monthly and strong. Most major metro areas have a regular meet within thirty minutes drive.

Caffeine and Octane

First Sunday monthly · Atlanta, Georgia The biggest single cars and coffee meet in the United States. Six hundred plus cars on a good morning.

Werks 1 Society events

Quarterly · Various Vintage Porsche owners’ club with regional gatherings. Open to the marque, focused on the air-cooled era.

R Gruppe events

By invitation · Various The Outlaw club. Old chassis, modified, no judging. Roads more than lawns.

PCA Region drives

Year-round · National Your local Porsche Club of America region runs monthly drives. They are the easiest way to put miles on the car with people who do not need it explained.

Treffen

Twice yearly · Various PCA-selected venues PCA’s national gathering. Half drive, half resort weekend. Less concours, more touring.

How to use this calendar

Most of these have public websites and ticketing. The flagships sell out months in advance. The Werks Reunions, the Quail, and Goodwood Revival all require registration windows that close early.
