The Brief
Plain English about what F6 Supply Co. is, why it exists, what we believe, and what we will not make.
Why we exist.
We grew up worshipping the air-cooled era. Long before any of us could afford one, we knew the chassis numbers by heart. We could tell a G-series from a 964 at the end of a parking lot. The cars came first. The discipline followed.
You did not have to get here the same way. Some of the best owners we know found these cars in a magazine at thirty. Some on the side of a road at fifty, after a friend handed over the keys. The path in does not matter. The reverence does.
When we walked into the shops looking for the goods to match, we found the wrong objects. A crest on every shirt. Branded leather. The same merchandise an enthusiast spends a lifetime trying not to wear. Nothing felt the way the cars feel: precise, restrained, made for the people who care.
F6 Supply Co. is the catalog we wanted to exist. Honest goods. Period detail. The chassis as the headline. No model names. No shield.
What F6 stands for.
F6 is the engine configuration. Flat six. The horizontally-opposed boxer that defined the air-cooled era from 1964 to 1998. It is the architecture, not the brand. It is also the cleanest typographic mark for the people we made these for. If you know, the abbreviation reads instantly.
What we believe.
Reference, never replicate. The chassis numerals are the language. The textiles that lived inside the cars are already the language. The typography on the period programs and the road signs is already the language. We draw from that vocabulary without taking the name.
The chassis is the typography. 911. 912. 930. 964. 993. RS. To anyone who knows, these are not numbers but personalities. Setting them in heavy DIN, the same condensed sans the factory used for license plates and parts catalogs, lets the mark do the work a logo would otherwise do badly.
The cloth was already in the car. Houndstooth is the Pepita seat fabric the factory offered through most of the air-cooled era. Tartan is the Schottenkaro option Porsche listed on G-series and 964 sport seats. We put both under the cars, at the same scale and density as the originals. The textile is already the brand.
Restraint over volume. One blank per product line, picked carefully, kept once it works. The same goods enthusiasts have quietly carried for fifty years. We just put the right chassis on them.
Slow drops, not collections. The Heritage Series grows when a chassis earns it. Not when a calendar says so.
Six chassis. Three product lines.
Same six chassis across every piece. Pick the chassis you would still drive. Pick the format that fits the way you actually use it. A heavy canvas tote for the parts run and the airport. A garment-dyed crewneck for the morning before a drive. A corduroy cap for the rest of the time.
What we will not do.
- We will not put a Porsche crest on anything.
- We will not use model names in our marketing.
- We will not use the trade words. Pepita. Fuchs. Carrera. Targa. They are not ours to use.
- We will not run flash sales.
- We will not make a logo bigger because someone asked us to.
- We will not sell anything we would not carry ourselves.
F6 Supply Co. is an unofficial, enthusiast-run brand. We are not affiliated with Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. The cars belong to them. The way we feel about the cars belongs to us.
How we work.
Slowly, and on purpose. We pick one blank per product line and we do not change it once it works. We add a chassis when it earns the place. We do not chase a release calendar. The goods get made between drives, the way the cars themselves were made.
One last thing.
If you spot one of these in the wild and the person carrying it gives you the nod, they are probably a friend or a customer. Say hi. Whether you got here at fifteen or fifty, you are in the right place.
